First of all, you need a dedicated machine capable of running Java™ 5. And the RAM size makes sense. A system with 512M RAM was found terminated due to java.lang.OutOfMemoryError during the benchmarks. So the recommended minimum PHYSICAL RAM size is 1 GigaBytes.

Next, download PolePosition - the open source database benchmark at http://polepos.sourceforge.net/#download.

Then download AV5TOB addendum to PolePosition: AV5TOB-Addendum2PolePos0.20.tar.gz.

Also download MySQL Database Server if you want to include it as the offical results do.

Now you are ready, follow the instructions in AV5TOB-Addendum2PolePos0.20.tar.gz#Bench-AV5TOB.txt.
